Inpatient ward, Gynaecology
The Gynaecology Service at Peterborough is a Consultant led service for elective inpatient and day case procedures.
Most inpatient elective procedures are performed at Peterborough District Hospital and day case procedures are performed at Specialised Day Treatment Centres at Edith Cavell Hospital and Stamford Hospital.
The service is managed in a female only setting and has a female consultant for those patients who prefer a female doctor to manage their care.
The nursing team work across all areas of Gynaecology and have a broad understanding of all Gynaecology services.
The service has a Matron who focuses on quality issues for the service which include infection control and standards for cleanliness.
