Voluntary Services
Why Volunteer?
There is a variety of voluntary work available at the Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This can vary from helping on a ward, assisting in the library or meeting and greeting patients.
People often choose to do voluntary work because they would like to do something positive to help their local community. Whether retired, unemployed, considering a career change, or saying "Thank you". All help is greatly appreciated.
How do I become a Volunteer?
The first step to becoming a volunteer is to contact the department. A prospective volunteer will be asked to fill in an application form stating the days and times they are available. If they have a particular interest or skill we could utilize in any of the departments in the hospital we will try to accommodate them. They will also be asked to provide two references. On receipt of the completed application form they will be invited to the hospital to discuss the various opportunities available to them.
