Stamford Hospital Consultation

Peterborough & Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust currently manages Stamford Hospital.

The Hospitals Trust, Lincolnshire Teaching Primary Care Trust and the Welland Group of GPs are considering a new approach to managing Stamford Hospital and wanted to gain the public's views as part of this process.

To do this, a formal consultation ran from 23 March 2007 - 22 June 2007, inviting the public to cast their vote by completing a consultation document.

We are pleased to report that the local community supports the proposal for changing the management of Stamford Hospital and this consultation exercise will now be an important consideration in the next stage of the project. Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the local GPs will now start to form a business plan detailing what new services could be offered and how the patient pathways would look. We hope this work will progress quickly and that we will be in a position to feedback to the local community via public meetings in the Autumn.

The votes were independently collated and analysed and the results published on 27 July. To view the results click on the report in the left hand menu.
